Soul Manipulation: they can use magic to directly attack the soul.Non-Physical Interaction: their magic can hurt ghosts.Inorganic Physiology: every monster's body is made up of more magic than physical matter.Danmaku: bullet pattern birthday cards are a thing and the vast majority of monsters we've fought have been shown to use danmaku attacks with their magic, including Alphys who's just a scientist.Basically I think there should be a monster physiology page in undertale's verse and we could list that in every monster's powers and abilities instead of listing each individual ability that all monsters have, just for convenience
